Summer Camp Frequently Asked Questions

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Are camps indoors or outdoors?

As much as possible, our camps will take place outdoors. Campers will have a few points throughout the day when their instruction and activities take place indoors. Additionally, should rain require it, camp will occur indoors.

Are masks required at camp?

Yes, campers and staff will be required to wear masks. When engaging in eating, drinking or outdoor activities, masks will not be required; however social distancing will be strictly practiced.

We require masks that follow CDC guidelines such as fitted masks or double layered gaiters. Face shields are not an acceptable substitution for a mask.

Will you do temperature screenings at drop-off?

At drop off, we will check each camper's temperature. Anyone with a temperature of 100 or higher will not be allowed to stay for camp activities. Campers must be fever-free for 72 hours without medication before they can return to camp. We highly recommend campers have a negative COVID-19 test before returning to camp as well.

Will camp staff be tested for COVID-19 and at what frequency?

Yes, all camp staff and teachers will be required to be tested frequently.

Are camp staff and teachers vaccinated?

All camp staff members and teaching artists are vaccinated.

How will you handle hand sanitization?

Campers and staff will sanitize upon arriving to camp, when changing locations/classes, as well as other points throughout the day. Campers will wash hands before and after eating. Campers are welcome to bring their own hand sanitizer as well.

What other safety measures are you taking?

Camp supplies will be thoroughly sanitized at the end of each class.

Campers will remain socially distant throughout the day, including all aspects of performance, class work, and games.

Campers will be grouped in small pods, with no more than 10 campers in a pod.
