Who are we?
Destination Theatre is a theatre company, founded in 2021. We are based in Atlanta, GA but serve communities across the country. Our work falls in two categories: professionally produced touring shows and customized educational theatre experience.

Destination Theatre is dedicated to creating excellent and imaginative touring productions and theatrical for people of all ages, backgrounds, and demographics. We aim to provide exciting, educational, and high-quality theatre experiences in communities across the U.S. and beyond.

Covid-19 Protocols:
Vaccination - All staff/cast/creative team members are vaccinated and must show proof of vaccination.
Masks - All staff and creative team will mask 100% of the time. While actively rehearsing, the 2 actors may unmask. While touring, actors must wear masks in all senior living facilities and may only remove them while actively performing.
Testing - All cast/creative team members must show proof of a negative PCR test before the rehearsal process begins.
Sickness - Once the show has opened, if any cast member becomes sick, their alternate/understudy will perform for them.
CDC Guidance - We are continuing to monitor CDC guidelines and make any necessary adjustments to our protocols. All protocols will be final upon signing of contracts.

Boley Centers on Broadway!
The Boley Centers in St. Petersburg, FL is a center for adults with cognitive impairments and learning disabilities. Destination Theatre is partnering with the Boley Centers to put on a production of Legally Blonde, Jr. The adults at the Boley Center will be the actors in the show performing alongside professional actors (who will also serve as teaching artists/production staff) from Destination Theatre.
Compensation: $415/week. Housing is provided. $200 travel stipend. Access to a company vehicle for the duration of the project.
Rehearsals: May 9 - June 1, 2022; day time hours
Performances: June 2 at 7:30pm & June 3 at 2pm & 7:30pm

DT Summer Camps
Destination Theatre runs summer camps all over the country! For Summer 2025- we will be teaching theatre in Atlanta (GA), Lansing (MI), Columbus (OH), Nauvoo (AL) and Columbia (SC). If you are interested in teaching with us this year, please fill out the Google Form linked below.

Destination Theatre believes in fully preparing and equipping teaching artists to most effectively relate to and communicate with our students.
We ask that all teachers fulfill the following:
-Create a classroom culture where students feel supported to try and fail and try again.
-Approach students with curiosity and a desire to find the most effective way to communicate new information.
-Follow the provided curriculum, to create engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans.
-Adhere to Destination Theatre’s equity, diversity, and inclusion policies and create classroom rules that support these policies and beliefs.
-Follow project specific Covid-19 protocols and maintain policies in the classroom.
-As necessary, collaborate with your co-teachers. Incorporate teaching assistants and interns in appropriate ways, capitalizing on their skill sets.
-Be fully prepared to begin classes and camps at the designated start time.
-Attend all required trainings, meetings, and staff check-ins.
-Communicate clearly with your Project Manager or Camp Director, as needed.

Seeking Rehearsal SMs for:
Boley Centers on Broadway!
The Boley Centers in St. Petersburg, FL is a center for adults with cognitive impairments and learning disabilities. Rehearsals: TBD (Summer 2025)
Location: St. Petersburg, FL
All compensation will be determined as contract details are set. We aim to elevate compensation standards for our employees and contractors.

The work of our rehearsal SMs include facilitating studio and technical rehearsals, maintaining direction of the show, maintaining production calendar, developing weekly rehearsal calendars and breakdowns, creating daily rehearsal and show reports, and running understudy and put-in rehearsals for replacements. A Rehearsal SM should be able to communicate extremely well with both technicians and actors.
Performance SMs:
The work of a performance SM includes supervising the running of each performance, maintaining direction of the show, creating daily show reports, assisting with the upkeep of technical items including costumes, props, and certain sound equipment, and running understudy and put-in rehearsals for replacements. An SM should be able to communicate extremely well with both technicians, actors, and the house management team.
Tour SMs:
The work of a tour SM includes supervising the running of each performance, maintaining direction of the show, creating daily show reports, assisting with the upkeep of technical items including costumes, props, & certain sound equipment, and running understudy and put-in rehearsals for replacements. Additionally, for touring productions, SMs assist with load-ins and load-outs, as well as coordinating with house managers at venues on the tour, working closely with DT leaderships to ensure smooth legs at each destination. An SM should be able to communicate extremely well with both technicians, actors, and the house management team.
